Before using a heater, read the safety instructions Never place a heater where it can be knocked over by a child or pet Keep heaters 3 feet away from beds and drapes Buy heaters that are thermostat controlled

  4. Winter Dangers - Portable Heaters Keep newspapers, magazines, and fabrics 3 feet away from space heaters and fireplaces Use kerosene heaters only in a ventilated space Do NOT use stoves, ovens, or BBQ pits for indoor heating Install a carbon monoxide detector
