What is Medical Marijuana? • Many people around the word are supporting Marijuana to make it legal across the country, so here are some of the facts which make them support this. • The term “medical marijuana”is the whole unprocessed marijuana plant basic extracts used to treat a disease or symptom. But the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has still not recognized or approved the marijuana plant as medicine. • Because he fact that Medical Marijuana helps treating many diseases, many people support it’s legalization. Growing support has also made it legal in many states.

  3. But why Medical Marijuana still not approved by FDA? • For approving it for medical purposes FDA needs to conduct test on thousands of humans, and till now the test has not been conducted on that large scale.

  4. Cannabinoids, what is that term? • Cannabinoids is the chemical present in THC(delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), and there are hundreds of Cannabinoids present in Marijuana. • The reason for not regulating Marijuana is that many illegal manufacturers have manufactured many of those in the lab, which are extremely harmful to health. • As our body also produces Cannabinoids so it results in effecting our senses.

  5. Can Cannabinoids be used as medicine? • Currently, scientist are interested in two main cannabinoids from the marijuana plant that are of medical interest; they are THC and CBD. And scientists are also conducting preclinical and clinical trials with marijuana and its extracts to treat numerous diseases and conditions.

  6. What medications contain cannabinoids? • The FDA has approved two drugs, dronabinol and nabilonewhich contain THC. • These help to treat nausea caused by chemotherapy and also in increasing appetite in patients with extreme weight loss caused by AIDS. • Scientists have also recently created a drug Epidiolex, this CBD-based liquid drug will be used to treat certain forms of childhood epilepsy.

  7. Explosion in Branded Cannabis Products • Thinking about launching your own branded line of cannabis products. Well it has already started in state of Washington. • According to the data by Brightfield Group, “Most recent survey of online menus of nearly 300 Washington dispensaries reveal over 360 manufacturers and over 640 product lines available to consumers throughout the state – a startling indicator of the market’s vitality”. • Leading the pack is Evergreen Herbal, found at 138 retail outlets.  Closely following are Magic Kitchen and Zoots, which were found at 87 and 86 outlets, respectively.  On average, products were found at roughly 20 outlets, though many were also exclusive to only a handful of locations in certain areas of the state.
