  4. Additional topics of interest Teaching English Language Learners Assessment Test preparation (NJ ASK test) Science Gang awareness District software training New math curriculum

  5. Additional topics of interest Opportunities to see instruction Leadership workshops DYFS and other legal issues Issues pertaining to homeless or emancipated students Subject specific training for science

  6. Teacher competency is a direct link to improving student achievement. (Center for Development & Learning)

  7. Professional development for a sustained multi-year commitment will benefit our organization by laying the groundwork for improved student achievement. (Elmore & Burney, 1999)
