  2. The award • Recognizes leadership potential of young IFAJ members • Supports global advancement of agricultural journalism and communications • Ten €1000 awards given annually • Winners participate at IFAJ congress (September 11-14, 2011,Canada)

  3. Sponsor: Alltech A leading animal health and nutrition company providing natural solutions to the feed and food industries - Presence in 120 countries with more than 2,300 employees - Ranked 7th in animal health companies

  4. Award requirements • Candidates must be involved in agricultural journalism or communications • No more than 35 years old as of December 31, 2010 • Must be willing to attend the congress

  5. Procedure • One nomination per guild • Guilds choose their candidates from field of applicants • Judging conducted by panel chaired by IFAJ secretary general Owen Roberts

How to apply • Prospective participants: Submit applications electronically to your guild (see application under “contests and awards” on www.ifaj.org) • Guilds: Submit the successful candidate’s application electronically to Owen Roberts, award chair (owen@uoguelph.ca) • Attach resume and up to three samples of candidates’ work • Explain candidates’ leadership potential
