  2. 2007-2008 Society Year Open Positions Officers – 2 years President ExecutiveVice President Executive Secretary Treasurer Directors – 4 years Education and Professional Development Chapter Services Conferences No two consecutive full terms in the same office No concurrent offices may be held Term begins July 1, 2007 (new Society Year) 2006 Executive Council Meeting Society Election Process

Nominating Committee Appointed by Society President with advice and consent of the EC Committee consist of at least 5 voting members At least one must be a current or Past President of the Society Chapter Participation Nomination committee shall seek advice and recommendations from each chapter Nominee Qualifications Currently a Professional Member of the Society Fellow member Senior member Member 2006 Executive Council Meeting Society Election Process

Process Committee shall nominate at least two candidates for each open office Committee shall nominate more candidates for Directors than the number of positions to be filled Slate of nominees shall be approved by a quorum of the EC Slate of nominees shall be submitted to the Executive Secretary NLT 7 months prior to the end of the second Society Year (Nov 30, 2006) Nominee responsibilities Provide suitable biographical information Provide a photograph for publication in the JSS Provide written acceptance of their nomination 2006 Executive Council Meeting Society Election Process

At-large nominations Requires written petition of at least 30 members Submitted to Executive Secretary for consideration by the Nomination Committee and Executive Council NLT 9 months prior to the end of term of office (Sept. 30, 2006) Voting Process Executive Secretary submits mail ballot to all voting members NLT 5 months prior to the end of the term of office (Jan. 31, 2007) Election requires plurality of ballots received within 30 days of mailing (March 2, 2007) Results tabulated by a committee of NLT 3 professional members Results announced by letter or JSS announcement All ballots must be available for review for a period of NLT 1 year following the election 2006 Executive Council Meeting Society Election Process
