  4. Major Hindrance To Dependence • Abundance • A constant problem in Judges • Luke 18, Rich ruler, and the lesson, vs. 24-30 • We need to pray for ourselves • Give glory and thanks to God. • He blessed us with skills and opportunity.

  5. A Constant Problem With Vision • 2 Cor. 12:7-10 • We pray for removal of pain, sickness, unemployment, grief. • But these help us rely on God and others.

  6. Blessing of Dependence • Greater gratitude – Luke 12:16 (note “I” and “my”.) • Dan. 4:30 – Nebuchadnezzar’s arrogance (but God spoke to him). • Dan. 5:21-21 – “Hopefully when we have a Neb. Moment we will be humbled like he was, and not behave like Belshazzar. We don’t want to see the handwriting on the wall.” (Ryan) • Pray – “Give me whatever it takes to equip me for heaven.” • Psalm 121.
