  2. WELCOME Regional Program on Skills in TVET for Sustainability & ADB Skills Forum September 13 – 21, 2016 Colombo Plan Staff College, Manila, Philippines organized by: CPSC, AST & ADB

ObjectivesAt the end of the training program, the participants are expected to: Provide avenues to discuss the role of TVET in achieving Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals Determine the challenges in establishing lifelong learning opportunities for the TVET beneficiaries in the region Provide opportunities for invited member countries to discuss possibilities of realigning TVET skills towards a more sustainable approach Formulate action plans on realigning skills for sustainable development that is specifically tailored to the needs of the member countries and their respective institutions

Instructional Strategies Case Study and experience sharing on TVET institutions exhibiting innovation, exceptional management and organizational excellence Study visits to Relevant Institutions Group Tasks and Discussions Action planning and project work on the possible initiatives for towards enhancing the youth’s role and participation in developing a sustainable TVET

  13. Tagaytay Tagaytay is a popular holiday town south of Manila on the Philippine island Luzon. Known for its mild climate, it sits on a ridge above Taal Volcano Island, an active volcano surrounded by Taal Lake. Overlooking the area, People’s Park in the Sky occupies the grounds of a never-finished presidential mansion. Picnic Grove is a recreation area with trails and a zip line.

Hostel Guidelines • Dining Room and Kitchen (4th Floor, Local 407) • The meals are prepared for the participants during the following hours: • Breakfast 7:00 – 8:30 hours • Lunch 12:00 – 1:30 hours • Cooking facilities are provided in the kitchen. Should participants wish to cook for themselves, please ask assistance from any staff of the General Services Division for proper utilization of kitchen facilities. • For dinner, participants are allowed to go outside CPSC premises or call fast foods for delivery. Curfew is 10:00 P.M., we strongly recommend that guests arrive before curfew.

  17. Hostel Guidelines • Laundry Services • Laundry Services are available with the following rates: • Php 30/kilo – approx. USD 0.75/kilo – wash dry, and fold • Php 70/kilo – approx. USD 1.75/kilo – wash,dry, and press • Self – Service iron and ironing board are also available at the roof deck should the participants wish to press their clothes. • Internet Facility (WiFi Password : cpsctech) • Internet facility is available 24 hrs for e-mail, internet and other computer projects in the computer laboratory and hostel rooms. Please request the ICT Division should you need assistance in connecting to the internet.

  18. Hostel Guidelines • Room Keys (Reception, First Floor, Local 101) • Room keys must be turned over to the Reception every time the guest goes out of the CPSC building. • Please don’t forget to return the signed waiver-form on the very first day.
