  1. Punch! ProPlatinum Home Design Adding a Roof

  2. Change the View • First lets change the view of your plan so that your entire house is visible on the screen. • Change the view to 90%. Click OK.

  3. Wall Segments • On the Floor Plan, select the 24’ left exterior wall. Notice that your Preview Bar changes to Walls. • Click on the Wall Style Button and select the second option. The Base height should be 8’0”. Change the Height C to 8’0”. Press ENTER on keyboard to set changes. • Pitch A and B should be the same number and match the pitch of the roof as well. • Do the same to the right exterior wall segment.

  4. Type of Roof • Click on the Roofing Plan Tab, and then click on the first roof style, which is the Gable roof.

  5. Roof Pitch • On the Preview Bar choose the pitch option 10:12 or the pitch that matches your wall segments.

  6. Making the Roof • Click and drag from a corner point just outside of your exterior walls across to the opposite corner. • The arrows that appear in the middle of your roof drawing show which direction the roof will slope.

  7. Your floor plan should look like this.
