  1. Are Protein Powders Harmful for the Body in the Future Protein powders by themselves are not harmful but you need to check the ingredients of the product before starting anything. Some protein supplements have a lot of harmful chemicals and additives like artificial colors, flavors, gums, thickeners, artificial sweeteners, etc. They are not useful for us. Buy real and authentic products from the market, and check for taste, mixability, etc. before starting it. Some important facts: 1. Whey protein powders come in different packages with different scoop sizes. 2. Each brand has different protein quantity. 3. Prices of products are different. 4. If you select whey protein then there are three types – Isolate, Concentrate and Hydrolysed. If you have protein powder with milk then it can make you fat. This is because milk has a lot of fat. Whereas having it with water can help you develop lean muscle. There are other ways to have protein supplements too, like in desserts, etc. Most people take protein powder in liquid form (either with milk or with water) as it is more convenient to consume and tastes better. Having just the powder may be difficult to eat and might not be easy daily. Many people also suggest taking it with smoothies, desserts, salads and other dishes. It depends on you, really.
