  2. SWEEP = Storm Water Environmental Education Program • Hands on environmental education for this generation and next to help keep Memphis waterways clean

  3. The Goals are Four Fold: 1) to promote environmental education at a the two schools • to assist Cypress as it addresses its TN underperforming status 3) to provide a service learning opportunity for students in science and education courses at Rhodes 4) to build stronger campus community bonds that can lead to other cooperative projects

  4. Match with ACS Alliance Objectives • Innovative project • Interdisciplinary • Inter-institutional • Community focused • Collaborative • Fits with Rhodes Mission and Buckman Laboratories interests, and therefore has the potential for sustainability.

  5. The Rhodes Vision • Rhodes College aspires to graduate students with a life-long passion for learning, a compassion for others, and the ability to translate academic study and personal concern into effective leadership and action in their communities and the world. 2002

  17. HUD COPC $400,000 grant Awarded Jan 1, 2005 SWEEP is one of the Educational Programs in the grant.
