Innovative Ground Operate Safety Clamp for Lifting of H-Piles (於地面操作的垂直吊運工字鐵安全夾鎖) Advantages of Ground Operate Clamp for Lifting of H-Piles are tabulated as below: New Method Advantages Old Method Plate 1 Plate 3 The two wire ropes are served as double safety device to avoid pushing down the wire ropes to release the safety pin accidentally. Therefore, double safety device can ensure the H-Piles to be lifted securely without hazard of falling objects. Plate 4 Plate 2 • Two separate wire ropes can be easily controlled by worker on ground level and therefore, prevent • worker from working at height for rigging and unrigging of H-Pile. • manual handling the lifting gears of H-Piles. Deployment of hydraulic working platform or man cage is not required, so eliminate the hazard of the crush to nearby objects within congested H-Piling construction area.

  5. Reference Diagrams(參考圖): Plate 6 Diagram 1 : Initial stage for erecting the H-pile Prevent relevant workers to work at height for attaching and detaching the lifting gears onto the H-Pile. Tag line will be used to control the movement of the H-Pile. Injuries can be avoided due to the hazard of crush of man-cages in congested H-piling construction area. Plate 7 Diagram 2 : Worker uses the tag line to control the movement of H-pile to designated location for subsequent pile driving.

  6. Reference Diagrams (參考圖): Plate 8 Diagram 3 : Worker keeps using the tag line to guide the suspended H-pile to the designate sitting out location for subsequent pile splicing. Plate 9 Diagram 4 : Connection of H-pile After pile splicing, worker will pull down the two wire ropes to release the lock pin of safety clamp. The safety clamp will be disconnected from the H-pile.
