  1. The The W Wrong rong W Way ay T To o V View iew L Leadership eadership M Management anagement Leadership management. The previous 2 words, whether you read together or separately, trigger a sour impression in the minds of people. Leadership to you, meant bossiness. You had someone shoving you around, telling you “do this and that”. If you had an important project assigned by a leader, maybe you spent a sleepless night or two sweating over “the possibility of failure.” And it’s ok if those were your reactions. You’re human. One could only tolerate being treated as an object for so long by a leader, before they hit a breaking point. But at the same time, this’ll be your fate for a long time, if you don’t learn how to lead. What is proper leadership anyway? What is proper leadership anyway? You know what the problem was with the experiences I mentioned? The improper use of power by authority. Those examples you just saw, were consequences of bad leadership.

  2. In any sphere today, corporate or not, leaders with a “the end justifies the means approach” were considered the best of leaders. The human subject is forgotten in the process. Respecting the human factor generates better results than ignoring it. That is what effective leadership is. In fact, any book on leadership worth its salt will teach you that. The infamous leadership book “How to win friends andinfluencepeople” by Dale Carnegie is completely set around that principle. Proper leadership is not “bossiness.” Sure, you have to be assertive to be a leader. You absolutely must not be a pushover to be a leader. You must respect your position. And at the same time, you have to be respectful and supportive of those around you. It’s difficult isn’t it? The act itself feels like a tightrope walk. So where do you find an effective leadership program? So where do you find an effective leadership program? That’s a difficult question to answer.Good leadership combines both elements of the impersonal method, and the personal ethics. To find effective leadership coaching, you need to find someone who practices leadership as a lifestyle. Yes, effective leadership is a lifestyle. It is an approach to life. Let me elaborate… Have you ever run across someone whose way of dealing with life and its struggles was simply inspiring to you? If you look closely at their behavior, you would see two things: A sense of mission, and desire to proactively bring positive impact at all costs, but at the same time… Have a well-refined value system, which allows them to succeed with integrity. People like Gandhi, Genghis Khan, and Alexander the Great. They had a mission. They had a desire to accomplish. And yet, they didn’t treat those who were loyal to them like putty. They honored and supported their comrades, and above all, led by example. Those people are far a few, but this is the mindset they have in life, that would make them effective leaders, if offered a position. When seeking a proper leadership program, you would be blessed to find someone with the qualities mentioned here. Wouldn’t it be an honor to learn how to be like them?
