  2. oneM2M Partnership Project • oneM2M is a Partnership Project, established on July 24, 2012 in order to cooperate in the production of globally applicable, access-independent M2M Service Layer specifications, including Technical Specifications and Technical Reports related to M2M Solutions • Participation is open to interested organizations and parties to provide opportunities for various levels of participation and provide flexibility for inputs from all market segments Public Web Site Members Portal 2

Scope Initially, oneM2M shall prepare, approve and maintain the necessary set of Technical Specifications and Technical Reports for: • Use cases and requirements for a common set of Service Layer capabilities; • Service Layer aspects with high level and detailed service architecture, in light of an access independent view of end-to-end services; • Protocols/APIs/standard objects based on this architecture (open interfaces & protocols); • Security and privacy aspects (authentication, encryption, integrity verification); • Reachability and discovery of applications; • Interoperability, including test and conformance specifications; • Collection of data for charging records (to be used for billing and statistical purposes); • Identification and naming of devices and applications; • Information models and data management (including store and subscribe/notify functionality); • Management aspects (including remote management of entities); and • Common use cases, terminal/module aspects, including Service Layer interfaces/APIs between: • Application and Service Layers; • Service Layer and communication functions

Status of Affairs • Technical Plenary Meetings • 4 meetings held, 120-150 participants (per meeting) attend with excellent mix between the geographical regions • Next meetings: • TP#5: 17.06. - 21.06.13 Asia • TP#6: 05.08. - 09.08.13 North America • TP#7: 14.10. - 18.10.13 Europe • TP#8: • Work Programme • on schedule, Release 1 by end of 2013 • oneM2M will reuse as much as operationally and technically viable specifications from member SDOs (ETSI, ATIS, TIA) as well as other partners • All 5 Working Groups hold electronic meetingsbetween the Technical Plenary weeks
