  1. Renaissance period overwiev "Renaissance", French for "rebirth", describes the intellectual and economic changes that occurred in Europe and also England. When referring to England, the Renaissance made its biggest impact between the years of 1500 and 1600. During this period , Europe came out from the economic depression of the Middle Ages and experienced a time of financial astronomical growth. Also importantly, the Renaissance was a period that became the turning point for artistic, social, scientific, and political thought. Many people share the view that a renaissance like this one seemed radiant, optimistic, and forward-looking. Likewise, others have viewed the Renaissance as a time of uncommonly dire strain that disrupted the English society and affected every one. English Renaissance (1500-1660)

Idea of the renaissance The idea of rebirth came about when Europeans thought that they had figured out what made the Greek and Roman culture so superior to to other just after centuries of scholastic and cultural decline. The supreme intellectual movement during the Renaissance both in England and Italy, was humanism. Humanism was based on the idea that human are levelheaded beings. It stressed the respectability and importance of individuals, a force crucial to the development of the Renaissance in many areas. Humanism came about from classical culture. The name itself originated because one of the period's major concerns for an educational curriculum aimed toward subjects of humanities.

  3. Literature Lyric poetry and song were one of the things that succeeded during renaissance. Undoubtedly this period was the pinnacle of drama. One of the greatest dramatists at the time was William Shakespeare

  4. During the Renaissance fundamental importance must be attributed to the Tudor dynasty. Tudor period The Tudor period is the period between 1485 and 1603 in England and Wales. It coincides with the rule of the Tudor dynasty in England. The Tudor family rose to power in the wake of the Wars of the Roses, which left the House of Lancaster, to which the Tudors were aligned, extinct. The term Tudor was seldom used in the 16th century, because the kings and queens did not like being reminded of their origins in the humble Tudor family.

  5. Family Tree there were many kings and queens who succeeded • the most important were: • Henry VII (1485-1509) • Henry VIII (1509-1547) • Edward VI (1558-1603) • Mary I (1547-1553) • Elizabeth I (1558-1603)

Henry VII • He defeated the last yorkist richard III, in the war of roses and becomekings in 1425. • Before he arrived there is the obscoke age and the did return the england in modern state • He encouraged the treaty with France. • He founded the english naval power and spending his money buildings sheeps with very modern structure but he wasn’t fourtnately because sheeps were important fot the trasport but not for the war

Henry VIII • He was the second son of Henry VII, he was popular, beautiful, was called ‘’golden prince’’ • He was interesting in culture and he granted the title of ‘’defender of the fath’’ by the pope in latin • He married Chaterine Aragon and he ha a doughter Mary I • He had six wives and a son Edward VI

  8. Edward VI He wated divorce but he didn’t do it for the chatolic religion, he created a protestant religion . Irleand remained a catholic country; begins irish question. He married Anna Boleyn and he had Elizabeth and murder Anna

  9. Mary I She didn’t abandon catholic faith. She married the king of spain Philip II. Sche was colled ‘’Blody Mary’’, sche wasn’t intrested to public opinion. She dies without an heir.

Elizabeth I • She was 25 years old, she had strong personality, passionate character, sche received an excellent education: she spoke french, german, spanish, italian. • She accepted both religion. • She was unmarried, she was married with the people. She became ‘’Virgin Queen’’ because sche didn’t want to share her power whit anybody. • She went on royal progresses, inspired literature, expanded exploration and out jears. • She had a lot of colonies, as India • She sent pirats and became rich, they met other pirats and understand the secret of the structure of the sheeps Perfetto Katia IIID
