  12. The Design of the PCAHIMT • PCAHIMT is a team comprised of many jurisdictions from throughout the county which = COOPERATION • PCAHIMT is a vehicle for all agencies in the county to work together during a significant critical event

The Benefits of the PCAHIMT for ALL OF US • Provide depth of expertise for multi-operational period incidents • Better preparedness in a disaster • Team members receive training throughout the year better enhancing their skill set in your organization • Enhanced response to critical incidents for all citizens in Pierce County

  16. Team members are expected to be able to deploy for 72-hours if needed. Team members agency covers the cost of the team member deployment for the initial 72-hour period. Team members come from all ranks, disciplines, and backgrounds. Team member cooperation is a key to success on the team Some of the Nuts & Bolts of the PCAHIMT

  17. Some of the Nuts & Bolts of the PCAHIMT • PCAHIMT is a well balanced team with 36% of the team from fire based departments • 36% of the team from police based departments • 28% of the team from “other” departments (DEM, DOL, Pierce Transit, Retired)
