  4. Leader Development Program • Military Science I MILS 1101 & 1102 Freshmen • Foundations of Officership: Intro to Army officer profession, military leadership, and basic military skills. Time management & physical fitness. Survey of pre-commissioning program. • Military Science II MILS 2201 & 2202 Sophomore • Individual Leadership Studies: Intro to decision-making and group processes related to military leadership. Focus on character develipment, role of the officer, and Army values. • Military Science III MILS 3301 & 3302 Juniors • Leadership & Problem Solving: Preparation for summer completion of Leader Development & Assessment Course (LDAC) at Ft. Lewis, WA. Emphasis on small-unit tactics, troop leading procedures, field training, and basic soldiering skills • Military Science IV MILS 4301 & 4302 Seniors • Officership: Focus on transition from cadet to Second Lieutenant with intro to military law and ethics, leadership case studies, hands-on practice sessions, and a Senior Leadership Project.
