  5. Formulation Steps • Step 1: calculate gNV of bath • 2000g x 0.19 = 380gNV • Step 2: calculate gNV of Paste needed • (380gNV/(1.25/.25))*(3.5/2.5) = 106.4gNV • Step 3: calculate gNV of Resin Emulsion needed • 380gNV-106.4gNV paste = 273.6gNV resin

  6. Formulation Steps • Step 4: calculate grams of paste and resin to be added • 106.4gNV paste/0.60 = 177.3g paste • 273.6gNV resin/0.34 = 804.7g resin • Step 5: calculate grams of deionized water to be added • 2000g-(804.7g+177.3g) = 1018.0g
