Events Calendar • How? • SerialCalendarAdvanced OptionsEnter/Modify event • Club moderator’s organization should appear in “Organization” menu. • You must me a moderator for the club. • Guidelines • Be diligent about entering all of your events. • Request to be a club moderator now! • Problems?   9. Serial Student and Club Announcements • How? • Go to the Serial. Click on “Request a Posting”. Follow the directions on Serial FAQ and Policies Page and send email to Serial Editor: serial@kellogg.northwestern.edu • Guidelines • Announcements are generally first come, first served and will typically be posted 3 days in advance. If sign-up for event is needed, will be posted 7 days in advance. • Will typically not be posted on Serial unless posted on calendar already.

Class Listservs • Limit of ONE per event per week. • Total: Conferences (6), Paid (4), All Others (3) • Messages are archived • Event must be posted to the calendar first. • No commercial announcements • No surveys! • Subject Line Format = “High Tech Club: Jeff Bezos 10/15” • No messages larger than 150K • Allow up to 24 hours for message to be approved. • SerialStudent OrganizationsListserv

Club Listserv • How? • To request creation or moderator permissions: SerialListserv • To moderate members: SerialListservModerate MembersListserv Student Admin Tool • To moderate messages, you need a special application to be setup • Guidelines • Currently non-Kellogg emails, but spam has gotten worse. • Feedback • Problems?   12. Club Directory • How? • SerialClub and Group DirectoryLogin • Club moderator’s organization should appear in “Modify Listing for” menu. • Guidelines • New look and feel! Will eventually be available in book format. • Be very diligent about updating this information. • (Again) Request to be a club moderator now! • Problems? The Other Tools • Videoconferencing • Portable videoconferencing equipment can be brought into any classroom • Utilize Internet exclusively, or utilize gateway to convert from Internet to ISDN at remote location if necessary • Contact Carole Cahill/Kevin Ofloy at least 2 weeks in advance to reserve and test equipment • Club Shared File Space • Archive documents for safe keeping! • Requires some knowledge of NT permissions: http://www.kellogg.nwu.edu/kis/docs/howto/network/NTpermissions/index.htm • Facilities • SerialKISClub Technology ToolsComputing facilities • Standard A/V equipment in classroom.
