During a phase change, such as melting or boiling, the Temperature remains the same. • During a phase change, such as melting or boiling, the energy is changing. • On the phase change graph, the energy/time is the independent variable. • On the phase change graph, the temperature is the dependent variable.

  7. Density • DEF: amount of mass in a certain volume. • Density is a physical property.
