  2. Introduction… Mountain - a form of relief, raised above the plains with height difference (from a few meters to several kilometers).

  3. The best world mountains… Andes • Andes - the longest (9000 km) and one of the highest mountain systems of the Earth. In some places the width of the Andes is more than 500 km. The average height is about 4000 m.

  4. Himalayas • Himalayas - the highest mountain system of the Earth. Himalayan mountain system is over 2400 km in length and 350 km in width. The average height is about 6000 m. The most beautiful mountain in the world is Ama Dablam.

  5. Cordilleras • Cordilleras are covered with modern glaciers. They are also famous for not only the picturesque Alpine landscapes, but also the ancient and modern volcanism.

  6. Alps • Alps mountain system is located in several European countries - France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Here are the highest peaks of Europe: Mont Blanc (4807 m), Monte Rosa (4634 m), Matterhorn (4,477 m).
