FEE Status • HTR control system has been delivered to SiDET • 12 Channel Board • Initial tests allowed us to readout CCD • Juan shows that the noise is too high ~30e- • We are investigating this; we are in the process of re-assembling a working 12-Channel board teststand on WH14 with 2nd board set • AlN Boards • Contracts entered in system for two types of AlN Boards • Nanonics w/JFET • FFC w/JFET • Cabling issues • We are trying to solve cabling issues inside dewar • We are handling the dewar wiring a lot more with the pedestal packages • Have seen a variety of problem • Open connectors • Open contacts • improperly seated cables • Have identified better FFC connector vendor, will swap out some connectors • Need to slightly build up thickness of the flat flex cable DES Meeting, March 1, 2007 T. Status • Multi CCD Dewar • getting ready to cool down MCD; two CCD readout • Software, hardware look OK • need a few days to do noise studies with external cabling • From Madrid • The Clock Board is under test • Monsoon system (MCB and CBB) is up and running • From Barcelona • See Laia’s slides DES Meeting, March 1, 2007 T. Other News • We need to start thinking about the next FE Electronics collaboration meeting • Target date is mid-July • At that time we should be able to review the status of • power supply design • crate design • 12-channel board performance • Clock Board performance • S-link and the MCB • Crate Synchronization plans • …….
