  1. Vocabulary for Sound

  2. Sound The sound of the phone caused Kara to answer it. The noise something makes.

  3. I could see the vibrations of the tuning fork after I hit it on the eraser. Vibration Happens when an object moves up and down or backward and forward very quickly.

  4. Volume The volume on the radio was set too high and the music hurt my ears. The loudness or softness of a sound

  5. pitch The men made a low pitch sound and the women made a high pitch sound. The highness or lowness of a sound

  6. frequency Strings 2 and 5 don’t sound very good, so I will change the frequency so they will sound better together. How often a pattern repeats

  7. Decibel A normal conversation is about 60 decibels. Used to measure sound

  8. Eardrum The eardrum sends the tiny vibrations to three bones in your middle ear. Passes sound vibrations into the middle ear so you can hear sound

  9. Music I love listening to music on the radio. Sound created using specific pitches in a pattern.
