From The Chalk Board to the SMART board • 1853- Chalkboards in classrooms • West Point Military Academy • White boards replace Chalkboards • 1990- SMART board technology invented and patented • 2001- SMART boards- part of its first classrooms • 2009- School Districts receive 500+ SMART boards • Considered “The Future of technology in the classroom”
