  1. GoStrategic’sStrategic Life Training

  2. HISTORY Strategic Life Training began in the home of Dennis Peacocke in the 1980s with a vision to equip his children with tools that would help prepare them to be leaders in their generation. In 1991, this family exercise became what is now called, Strategic Life Training, and has developed into a course that serves to develop emerging leaders of all ages. It has touched the lives of people in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and all over Europe.

  3. VISION ● To Introduce concepts essential to CLEAR & ASSERTIVE THINKING and expression in regard to a biblical worldview ● To develop the ability to ANALYZE BASIC ASSUMPTIONS dealing with the nature of God, man, and truth (presuppositional analysis) ● To instill vision and motivation to demonstrate an ALTERNATIVE WAY OF LIVING to the culture as representatives of the Kingdom of God ● To introduce the basic concepts of STRATEGIC THINKING & LIVING ● To discover significant clues to our PERSONAL DESTINY and how it is tied to our community in God ● To develop an understanding for HOW GOD DELEGATES RESPONSIBILITY to different areas of government (self, family, church, marketplace, civil) and their functions from a Kingdom perspective

  4. STRUCTURE • SCOPE & COST: SLT is a two-year correspondence school divided into one-year courses, BLS100 ($495) and BLS200 ($595, scholarships available). Classes begin in the spring and the fall each year. Payment plans are available for both years. • COMMITMENT: Students are expected to attend bi-monthly meetings. Most groups are long distance and meet via conference call or webcast, though if there are enough people in your local area taking the course, you may meet in person. Each lesson takes about 2-3 hours total to read/listen to, process, and complete homework. • MENTOR-BASED: Students receive support from trained and screened SLT Facilitators who are, themselves, graduates of the course and have completed a special training school. The role of the Facilitator is to provide a level of direction, encouraging students and helping them to examine their thoughts, attitudes, and practices in light of the principles presented. • RELATIONALLY GROUNDED: Relationships are built through real-time group interaction. After studying the lessons and completing homework individually, participants meet with their assigned group and Facilitator for discussion. This model is founded out of our conviction that genuine transformation takes place in the context of spiritual relationships with other men and women. • INTENSIVE EVENT: In the U.S., our annual conference (SLT Intensive) is held each year in the spring and again in the fall. The event is open to all but is prerequisite for those entering the school. The goal of the Intensive is to inspire and envision attendees and to lay a foundation that will help prepare them for the course year.
