  1. Print Team Member Name: Date: Handheld Steamer • SAFETY PRACTICES • While operating , you must wear a heat resistant glove on the hand you’re not holding the steam head with. • When steaming underneath apparel, you must wear heat resistant gloves on both hands. • Since the hand steamer contains water, keep away from all electrical equipment. This includes all photography equipment. • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. • Do not use an extension cord to operate the Steamer. • Surfaces of the Steamer may be hot when in use. Do not let bare skin come into contact with the heated surfaces. • Use the stand provided. When returning the nozzle on the stand, turn it so the steam is facing away. • Unplug the Steamer before filling or emptying. • The Steamer could cause burns if it is used too close to the skin, scalp or eyes. • Turn off and unplug the Steamer when not in use. • OPERATING PROCEDURES • With steamer unplugged, use the supplied funnel and remove fill cap to add a maximum of 4 quarts of warm water. If using cold water turn steamer off and let steamer cool down. Never pour cold water on a hot element. Do not overfill. The steamer contains a water reservoir for 2 hours of continuous steaming. • Plug into proper voltage outlet and turn switch to “PREHEAT”. Steamer will hold at this temperature, and the light will go off and on occasionally. Immediately after water is preheated, and red light turns off, turn switch to “STEAM” position. The combined touch of the steaming head and the direct steam is very important. Some articles can be steamed better from the underneath side. You must wear both heat resistant gloves for this. • Always steam with hose in upright position so condensation can flow back into Steamer. If steaming in a low position , straighten hose up and out frequently to keep it clear of condensation. • If steamer runs dry it will temporarily shut off. If more water needs to be added to the steamer, allow to cool before removing fill cap and adding more water. Resume steaming by resetting the switch to the “PREHEAT” position. Never overfill as water will boil up into the hose. • Hang steam head and hose in upright position in the hose hanger section. Turn switch to the “OFF” position and unplug.
