  1. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Summary of requirements to be verified by test • Traceable to HAWC PIP • Traceable to other project support documents (e.g., Detector recipe reqm’ts doc, OMS development plan) • Specific listing of requirements being deferred to system-level • Particularly important for detector, housekeeping and optomechanical subsystems

  2. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Separate descriptions of individual tests to be performed • Needs only to be explicit and detailed enough to be clear to our UC customer and their SOFIA customer, because we will ask for written direction from UC before proceeding with the acceptance test sequence • Test goal and scope for each type of test • Top-level description of how test is performed • How non-conformances and anomalies will be dispositioned (can refer to HAWC QMS plan, which should be released by 1/01/01) • Top-level summary of engineering tests which precede the formal acceptance testing.

  3. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Listing of documentation to be produced by test • Quality Records, typically: • Test Procedure now known as “Project Work Instruction” as-run • WOA which authorizes test • Certification log, when used • Test Report to be issued after test completion • Processing log, when used

  4. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Resources required for test • Required personnel breakout with responsibilities • Facilities required • Instrumentation required

  5. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Commercial test equipment required • List of equipment required • Metrology plan • Fabricated test equipment required • List of cabling, support mounts, fixtures, etc. • Test software required

  6. Required elements in HAWC Subsystem Test Plans • Top-level test schedule • Test Flow • Test Durations for each major test • Safety issues • Must be addressed, even if at top-level
