Announcements RACHEL’S FIRST FIVE: WEEK 17 Wednesday (Ethical question or scenarios) If you found a wallet with $100 inside and decided to send it back to its owner, would you return the wallet with or without the money? Thursday (Discuss the Topic) What are ways that you can make a new student feel comfortable? Friday (Just a Thought) In my interactions with people, I try to plant seeds of respect, good intent and my joy of life. That way, if the old saying “you reap what you sow” is true, I will always have a good harvest. Clifton D. Gorham

  3. Announcements The Ecology Club and students going on the overnight field trip will meet this Thurs to meet the speaker from Nature Bridge field trip. All parents are invited to attend this meeting (3-4).The rest of the time 4-5:30 will be used planning the trip and planning the ecology club trip to the zoo this week. Make plans to attend.

  4. Announcements TRYOUTS: Tryouts for the baseball, softball, boy’s track, and girl’s soccer are March 24th, 25th, and 26th. In order to try-out, students must have a physical (on the most recent PWCS form) and concussion training certificate on file with Mrs. Harigan. The tryouts begin right after school and end at 5:15PM. Students may either have a ride pick them up or ride the activity bus home. If a student's ride is not here by 5:25PM, he/she will be placed on the bus.

  5. Announcements Yearbook Order your yearbook today. $25 per book. Order online or see Mrs. Drake. Deadline—March 28th.

  6. Announcements District Festival for Men's Choir and Show Choir is Wednesday, March 19. All Show Choir and Men's Choir need to report to the cafeteria at 8:30am and must be in their concert attire! Please remember your permission forms, coat, water bottle and lunch money. District Festival for Women's Choir is Thursday, March 20th. Women's Choir needs to report to the cafeteria at 8:30am on Thursday, and must be in their concert attire! Please remember your permission forms, coat, water bottle and lunch money.

  7. Announcements PENNIES FOR PATIENTS NJHS is collecting pennies for patients for the Leukemia Society. So bring that spare change to your P2 class. The class raising the most change at each grade level wins a pizza party! March 28 is the last day to collect. (Mattia)

  8. Announcements DANCE SWEETHEART DANCE POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 28TH.

  9. Announcements 8TH GRADE DANCE GROUPS Attention 8th grade dance groups. If you are interested in performing April 3rd at the Parkside Spirit Night, please see Mrs. Pierce today!

  10. Chick-fil-a Night! Friday, March 21st 6:00 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. Must have flyer or mention Parkside Middle School Mini Relay for Life. Help support our 5th Annual Mini Relay for Life event by having breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even all three! A portion of the daily sales will go to the American Cancer Society with the support of Parkside Middle School.

  11. 5th Annual Mini Relay for Life Walk April 4th, 2014 Join in as we walk during all physical education classes. Step by step we can make a difference. The Parkside family first walked to show support for a mother of a one of our students. We soon understood that many of our Panther family and friends were effected by this disease. The battle continues as does our support. Please help us meet our goal of $1,000.00 by making a donation to the American Cancer Society today!
