  4. 1- LI SELF PREPARATION • Resume ~ Email softcopy of CV to Coordinator as reference - Compulsory • Prepare passport photo – professional looking ~ put in the CV ~ photo scan allowed ~ printed with CV • Pre-registration for industrial Training ~IAS3316/IID3214 • Complete personal details form given by BCI

  5. 2- LI PREPARATION ~ COMPANY • Seek for suitable companies / organisation to undergo LI • Verify nature of business of the company ~ IT related ~ related to your course field • Contact the companies for any enquiry, get contact person details ~phone ~email • Review company background from their website • Private companies should have >=10 employees • Visiting companies (if possible)

  6. 3-LI APPLICATION • Request formal application letter from BCI ( if the company ask to do so)- fill up Industrial Training Application Form at Student Portal and email to bci@unisel.edu.my • Collect at BCI (every Wednesday) when it is ready. (1 week) • Individual Application– using your own letter are allowed • Apply by yourself to the companies. • Submit application letter, resume and any supporting documents ~ via post, email or by hand • Follow-up your application – call after 2 weeks !

  7. 4-LI ACCEPTANCE/CONFIRMATION • Receives Offer Letter from company ~direct to you or through BCI • Once application accepted: • Fill up BLUE FORM + photo + offer letter • Submit to Coordinator for advice and approval ~ obtain signature • Submit signed BLUE FORM + offer letter to BCI. • Collect LOGBOOK and REPORT DUTY FORM from BCI

  8. Reminder!!! • To entitles undergo LI, must completed >80 credit hours. • Register Subject for LI~IAS3316/IID3214 • Send application as much as you can. Do not give up! Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (HONS) • Study on an evaluating user needs and system functionality • Ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs; • Making recommendations for new systems or upgrades of current • Planning, developing and implementing the ICT budget, to ensure cost effectiveness; • Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems; • Researching and installing new systems; • Ensuring the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision; • Ensuring secure access to the network for remote users; • Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack; • Providing users with appropriate support and advice; • Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems; • Keeping up to date with the latest technologies
