  1. English 10- 9/10/12 • Five minutes to review for the vocabulary quiz 2. • Why do bees have sticky hair? • OAO – One and Only. Used in the naval Academy to refer to one’s sweetheart. Goals – Successfully complete Week 2 vocab. study. Analysis of the value of HS education. Example of courage to be authentic and interesting; a video essay. Homework –Make a list five of the most interesting or significant/formative events of your life. (points will be assigned tomorrow)

Goals –Discuss personal connection and AIW. Share interesting events from your lives. Begin work on student life maps. Homework – Complete rough draft of your life map. (points will be assigned tomorrow)

English 10- 9/12/12 • What is your most important need for your future life? • How do you give an English teacher a brain transplant? • Snack pockets – a family word for side fat, “love handles.” Goals – Discuss how the past connects to the future. Continue work on life maps. Homework – Complete final draft of your life map. (points will be assigned tomorrow)

Goals – Present life maps to share your formative experiences and define your personal values. Homework – Work on vocabulary for Week 3. Quiz Tomorrow 9/14.
