  2. Observer Duties – Senior Observer Observers may give Assessment Rides if requested to do so by members of the public who enquire during day to day rides.  The Guidance Administrator/Membership Secretary must be informed of these rides as a means of contact with a prospective associate.  NB only ONE Assessment Ride  is allowed (by the IAM) per individual prior to joining the IAM and SAM. 3. Observer Duties – Observer/Trainee Give guidance on a one-to-one basis to the Associate allocated to them. Arrange End of Sheet/Pre-test Assessments with their Senior Observer. Give guidance to cover for an absent Observer when requested by the Guidance Coordinator. There will be occasions when an Observer will ask a fellow Observer to take out his associate, this is fine but let the Guidance Coordinator know in order to keep the Associates guidance record up to date. 4. Observer Duties – Guidance Co-ordinator Will normally  be the person to  allocate an Associate to an Observer.  If for any reason an Associate requests a change of Observer this will be accommodated as guidance is for the Associate’s benefit.  Observers may also let go an Associate if they feel they cannot progress further with them.  Sheffield and DistrictAdvanced Motorcyclists
