Important Dates • You can continue to collect hours until June 30 of grade 12. • You must have all hours and your final form submitted by Sept. 30. • If you want it read at graduation that you took part in the program you should ensure you register ASAP. • In the event that you are taking a gap year (a year off) you need to contact the Community Service Bursary Program to ask for them to hold the money for a year. The contact info is on the website. • The money will enter your Post-Secondary School account in November. • NOTE: The only information TOSH will have is: • Sometime in June we will receive a list of who registered • The hours you collected through school if they were submitted (it is your responsibility to check with your advisor) • NOTE: This means you will have to contact CSB directly for questions.

  3. What?!?! • It is NOT too late if you have been volunteering. Google: Community Service Bursary PEIto find where items need to be submitted. Hours can count from the completion of Grade 9 until June 30 of your Grade 12 year. • Complete 30-150 hours and receive a bursary valued at $5/hr • (30 hrs = $150 and 150 hrs = $750).

What Forms? • They are all online. • You fill in two (note that they are in the same place so one appears to be hiding!) • You should work with each organization you work with to help them fill in the online form for submitting hours. • HINTS: They are used to a paper form that is no longer on the website so… • It may be best to sit with them and fill in the online form • They need your name, total hours, and year of graduation (the online form is easy)

  5. YOU DO THIS! Registrationhttps://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/service/community-services-bursary-student-registration • You need to fill in the online registration form where you will be asked to accept the terms and conditions of the Community Service Bursary Program and provide the following information: • Your complete contact information • Your Social Insurance Number (required by Canada Revenue Agency) • Parent or guardian name and contact  • Name of your high school and expected year of graduation NOTE: You can complete the form in less than 15 minutes.

  6. YOU DO THIS! Post-Secondary Institution Sheethttps://www.princeedwardisland.ca/sites/default/files/forms/csb-student_information_sheet.pdf • Fill in and submit the Identify Post-Secondary Institution form by Sept. 30 so that the program is able to send the money to your post-secondary institution in November. You need much of the same info as your first from (NOTE: S.I.N. is required) and you need to know where you are attending next year (if you are). • HINT: Do it now if you know your plans! • You may place your bursary on hold for one academic year by contacting CSB.

  7. YOUR ORGANIZATIONS DO THIS! Submitting Hourshttps://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/service/community-service-bursary-volunteer-hours-record • You need to ensure your organizations submit your hours. • Each organization you volunteer with will need to submit hours for you using the online form. • It is a good idea for you to also track your hours and consult with your organization(s).
