History • First involved in 2006 • First course was offered in fall 2007 • Housed in the Department of Leadership Studies • First virtual course was offered in fall 2009 • Service-learning project was first incorporated in spring 2009 • 115 total students have participated in the course • Course was granted permanent status within the Interdisciplinary Studies program in spring 2010

  3. Service-Learning • Service-learning first incorporated spring 2009 • Educational session for middle school students • Fund raising and micro philanthropy • Service to the virtual community • Youtube videos and blogs

  4. Global to Local • One of the signature pieces of FHSU’s program • Course materials based on both global trends as well as current events and trends in Kansas • Helps students connect global trends to local issues

  5. 7 Revs: First Year Experience • Common academic experience for all FHSU students • Departments “show off” their faculty and disciplines • Helps students select their major • Course redesign “academic transformation”
