Students receive hands-on training, mentoring, and internships from employers in their community. They also learn how to develop a resume and interview for a job. These additional tools and experiences make school more relevant, and ensure students are ready for the real world.

Current families value these, and prospects say these are missing. Showcase real-world skills and hands-on experiences. Students are more satisfied, more focused, more prepared, more apt to graduate. Parent and student aspirations for career passion opens the door for a conversation about CTE. Real-world skills and hands-on experience are a distinct value add. CTE isn’t a replacement for traditional schooling, but an enhancement.
