  9. Construction of Thermistors Thermistors are composed of sintered mixture of metallic oxides such as magganese, nickel, cobalt, copper, iron & uranium. They are available in variety of sizes & shapes.

  10. Advantages & Limitations Advantages: • Small size & low cost • Fast response over narrow temperature range • Good sensitivity • Cold junction compensation is not required • Contact & lead resistance problems not encounered Limitations: • Non-linearity in resistance vs temperature characteristics • Unsuitable for wide temperature range.
