4. Recognise people are getting larger Provide an improved comfort in all classes

5. Cabin comfort – The space race… This is not an Airbus but a market driven conclusion 38” : 1978 1st B/C product “Clipper Class” by Pan Am, 1979 QFA B/C 38” 48-55”: major 3 class carriers began to fly a dedicated B/C, seat pitch increased gradually to betwen 40” and 50” and brochures started to emphasize “more knee room, more leg room” , (VIR B/C 45”), wider seats than in Y/C at around 18” 60”: 90s, breakthrough of F/C (BAW individual pod, flat bed, 78”, AFR l’Espace bed 77”) and 2 class cabins (hybrid product, like KLM, SAS, NWA), B/C was affected BAW, Business First at Continental at 60” 74” & full flat innovative products: 2000 BAW ying yang concept in Club World fully flat bed 72”, 2002 SIA Space Bed 78” 2006: new SIA B/C product (Koito seat, 30” wide in 777, but wider in A380, 60” seat pitch), BAW new Club World (25” seat width, 72” seat pitch, bed at 78”)This is not an Airbus but a market driven conclusion 38” : 1978 1st B/C product “Clipper Class” by Pan Am, 1979 QFA B/C 38” 48-55”: major 3 class carriers began to fly a dedicated B/C, seat pitch increased gradually to betwen 40” and 50” and brochures started to emphasize “more knee room, more leg room” , (VIR B/C 45”), wider seats than in Y/C at around 18” 60”: 90s, breakthrough of F/C (BAW individual pod, flat bed, 78”, AFR l’Espace bed 77”) and 2 class cabins (hybrid product, like KLM, SAS, NWA), B/C was affected BAW, Business First at Continental at 60” 74” & full flat innovative products: 2000 BAW ying yang concept in Club World fully flat bed 72”, 2002 SIA Space Bed 78” 2006: new SIA B/C product (Koito seat, 30” wide in 777, but wider in A380, 60” seat pitch), BAW new Club World (25” seat width, 72” seat pitch, bed at 78”)

6. Seat product trend First Class An elite club, private world, service comes to me

7. Business class: Full-flat is the next revolution Full-flat bed (no angle) Direct access to the aisle Selected by the majority of A380 Customers Trend already initiated by: British Airways Singapore Airlines Cathay Pacific Virgin Atlantic South African Air New Zealand China Southern Etihad We will give you 2 examples of full-flat configuration in next slides. Unfortunately it can’t be A380 ex as they are confidential !We will give you 2 examples of full-flat configuration in next slides. Unfortunately it can’t be A380 ex as they are confidential !

8. Business class: Full-flat Herringbone side facing We will start with B/C since the whole story comes from here. The trend is for full flat offering a real improvement in comfort level, without compromising the seating density thanks to original layouts: 1st is the Herringbone configuration (Solar eclipse) But you have other possibilities … e.g. Air Canada A330 (be careful photo in 777 !!!) 9. Business class: Full-flat, interlocking, front facing The staggered configuration offered a full flat bed + amenities at your hand Staggered Sicma Skylounge 8ab configuration Footwell width optimised for increased seat widthThe staggered configuration offered a full flat bed + amenities at your hand Staggered Sicma Skylounge 8ab configuration Footwell width optimised for increased seat width

10. First class: A comfort apart Since B/C products are dramatically evolved, a/l have the choice either: To suppress F/C and go for B/C only for premium passengers To introduce a truly differentiated F/C product … on the way to private jet comfortSince B/C products are dramatically evolved, a/l have the choice either: To suppress F/C and go for B/C only for premium passengers To introduce a truly differentiated F/C product … on the way to private jet comfort

11. A380: The enabler for First Class mini-suites New highly private, semi-partitioned F/C mini-suites just fit best in the A380, designed for passenger needs of the 21st century. Whereas the nose non-constant section of the 747 narrows by 56% in width! And the 747 UD does not offer an alternative, being far away from true wide-body comfort. As the UD on the A380 corresponds to real wide-body comfort, it makes cross-fleet product consistency easier for airlines. In addition to that customers can differentiate their service by choosing direct UD boarding for their F/C and J/C passengers. New F/C with unique comfort, privacy, space and innovation standard will be associated to A380, as its cabin offers the optimal width and ambience.
