What Is Readers Theatre? Readers Theatre… Step by Step • Immerse students in the Readers Theatre text form. • Select an engaging story or script. • Read the story aloud (or a portion of the story). • Identify and highlight different character voices. • Read aloud to make final edits. • Adapt the story to script form. • Assign roles and rehearse! • Perform for an audience. • Reflect on your experience.
