The only limitation is your imagination and skill level.” - Paul Leech, System Support Team, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust The Challenge East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust needed to eliminate wasteful duplicated data entry as well as ensuring its central Patient Administration System (PAS) was more accurate and up-to-date. The Solution They selected awiSXfrom NDL to carry out a number of integration projects. They can now link between electronic bed boards and the PAS, they have improved the data quality in the PAS; information is now automatically transferred and updated and the touch screen check-in kiosks are also directly integrated into the PAS. • The Impact • Less duplicated data entry • Real-time updates to the PAS • Better patient tracking & greater data accuracy • More motivated staff
