Our discussion today • If technological innovation is so much of an answer for the ‘Health’ and for the ‘Wealth’ agenda, why do we need to a Statement of Intent to make it happen more? • Where are the problem areas – is it the technology, our ability to implement or our ability to make use of it ....? • Share your proposals about what needs practically to be done to increase the uptake of innovative technology.

We need the public engaged to tell us how they wish their care to be delivered with them We need the service to tell us what they need to be make care delivery more effective and efficient to meet what the public say We need to ask industry and businesses to generate ideas to help us do this

Early headline findings NHS England Whole System Demonstrator The early indications show that if used correctly telehealth can deliver a 15% reduction in A&E visits, a 20% reduction in emergency admissions, a 14% reduction in elective admissions, a 14% reduction in bed days. More strikingly they also demonstrate a 45% reduction in mortality rates.
