  2. What do we do and where do you find us? Part of UiBs central administration Help with externally financed projects-info, proposals, contracts, etc Huge experience, 78 FP7 projects so far, all types Division of Research Management/ Forskningsadministrativ avdeling Prof. Keysers gate 6b + 8

  3. What do we do Proposal writing, IPR, budget (EU), internet forms Info, tips, FunderFinder newsletter, mailing lists, courses Contract negotiations consortium agreement Project management, issue tracker, reporting, final reports (with div. of finance) kick off meetings, courses for admins

  4. Last year of FP 7 - highest budget ever for ERC

ERC StG Your idea- on the one page proposal • Tentative Title • Background and Statement of the Problem • What are you trying to solve • Define the area of research • What are the objectives • How will the objectives be measured and verified • Why right now? • What would happen if we did not do this now? • How will the project go beyond the state of the art? (!!!!!) • Expected Results and Lead Users (also other researchers!) • Work plan/Phases of work to reach objectives • Expected Costs • Expected Duration

ERC StG Are you a competitive candidate? “potential for research independence and evidence of maturity including producing independently at least one important publication without the participation of their PhD supervisor. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a promising track-record of early achievements appropriate to their research field and career stage, including significant publications (as main author) in major international peer-reviewed multidisciplinary scientific journals, or in the leading international peer-reviewed journals of their respective field. They may also refer to monographs or demonstrate a record of invited presentations in well-established international conferences, granted patents, awards, prizes etc.»
