  2. Robert Kranjec was born on 16 July 1981 in Ljubljana. • Involved in ski jumping since his eleventh year. Member of the national team since 1998, since 2001 a member of “A” team. • His personal record is 229 meters, which is also the current national record.

His biggest international success is a team bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City in 2002. • In the season 2005/06 in the Finnish Kuusamu he achieved the first victory for the World Cup. At the end of the season, he won 3rd place in Planica. This success was repeated in the season 2008/09, when he separated the third place together with Simon Ammann.

  4. Kranjec prefers to compete on the hill, although in a few seasons Planica severe fall.

  5. In “Normal hill” competitions jumpers reach distances up to 110 meters. There are only a few world cup competitions on these ski jumps • In“Large hill” competitions jumpers reach distances up to 140 meters. The most competitions for a world cup are on these ski-jumps. • “Ski-flying competitions” Jumpers reach a distance between 180 and 200 meters. In the season of the World Cup it takes place at least once.
