  4. Who’s in the room?-Ellen At your table: • Introduce yourselves • Share something about the school year that’s going well for your kids/family • Share questions you have about upcoming events, procedures, etc. • Share a few of both out with the large group

PTA Financial Future • Over the past five years, the PTA budget has grown from approximately $5,000.00 to $55,000.00. • Incoming funds consist of smaller fundraisers (under $1,000.00), one big fundraiser (auction $30,000) and/or grants. • PTA funds have covered fieldtrips, school events, supplies for classrooms, afterschool classes and family support. • As the PTA budget grows, there is a greater need for a long-term strategy focused on fundraising and spending.

PTA Financial Future With your table groups on your papers: • Review how PTA spends its funds • Review current fundraisers • Discuss possible long-term goals 3-5 years such as: • Fund a large project • Fund a teaching position (would need a foundation) • Other ideas • Discuss ways in which we could get there • Share out with whole group
