  1. 4 Critical Qualities of a Realtor - Realtors 4 You With many realtors touting their various services and traits how does one determine the qualities that are the foremost critical in an agent? You’ll be surprised at the foremost critical qualities, I’m not meaning preferable or helpful, but critical. Have a look. Honest and dealing for you In a world where salesperson is arguable the sleaziest occupation, it’s not surprising that honesty is that the single most self promoted quality of real estate agents. It

  2. should certainly be the only biggest quality sought by the general public. I’ve always found it interesting that real estate agents are a part of an industry where service and integrity are paramount. Yet paradoxically the high commissions and appearance of easy work attract competitive egos and therefore the get rich quick crowd. Using your INTUITION is that the best advice I can give on the way to determine if a salesman is honest. Trust me there are tons of great honest agents out there, you only need to use your gut to guide you. If what they assert feels insincere or more importantly it sounds great but feels somewhat fake or disconnected, then they're probably in it more for the paycheque than for what’s best for you and you ought to BEWARE. Regardless of how successful or busy the agent you’re considering is, if they spend the bulk of the time talking about themselves or what accomplished, with little specialize in deciding your needs and needs, and then they're a nasty choice. Put differently , if the experience seems like they're spending longer SELLING you on their ideas instead of deciding proportion they’ve

  3. where you're coming from then ADVISING on the simplest course of action, then they clearly don't have your best interests at bottom and that they are never the simplest agent for you. Detail Oriented and Professional The reason this quality ranks number two on my list, is that when things go bad on sale or purchase during which the realtor has been found guilty. The amount one reason that the courts find the foremost is NEGLIGENCE. What does that mean? Well, put simply, the realtor has most frequently acted carelessly, or as we are saying, without duty of care. Generally the agent hasn’t paid enough attention to the small print and particulars of the transaction that are often critical. Not searching for

  4. potential problems during a home that are readily apparent, not paying precise attention to the paperwork and written record. Not enough questions around potential issues to guard their clients. If the sale ever finishes up in court or not closing these seemingly small missed details show the judge where to put the blame and liability. Again, many agents are excellent at listening to details, but it’s been my experience that quite a couple aren’t. Ask yourself, how professional are they on a scale of 1/10? Do they show concern and care? Strong Communication I remember once I first got my land license one among the instructors shared with the category that the amount one complaint from customers regarding real estate agents was that they never communicated enough. For instance, the agent would list their home then the vendor would never hear from them again! I recently took a compulsory upgrading course and it had been deja-vu, the trainer warned of an equivalent wide spread complaint of lack of communication.

  5. It’s amazing as sales people we get paid supported lecture people for a living, yet communicating with our own clients are often difficult. I think the difficulty comes from numerous agents spending 80% of their time trying to urge business (just to remain alive) and 20% actually servicing their customers. It a competitive racket and this unfortunately is that the reality for several agents. I make a special rule that if we haven’t sold the house within the first week that I speak with my sellers a minimum of x1 every week personally to report and review the activity of the house. An agent who communicates with their client shows they're accountable, present and involved. When meeting together with your prospective agent, if they don’t mention their system of communication, ask them how regularly they typically speak with their customers or how their system works. If they appear at your blankly, or seem to form up a solution on the fly, this person is probably not an honest communicator or a tough worker for his or her clients. Also at your appt. ask yourself, is that this person is basically hearing me and becoming conscious of my specific situation? Do I feel comfortable with them?

  6. Read and Understand People Different from being an honest communicator, an agent must be sensitive to the various people and their parts in bringing a transaction together. Why is that this important? Good negotiating starts with having the proper demeanor, then asking the proper questions and reading things and therefore the people so you'll best represent and hold advantage for your client. This is often where an honest agent can repeatedly, counting on the worth of the house, make your extra thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. This is often where the rubber meets the road. The simplest thanks to get a way of the negotiating power of your agent are to ask them

  7. how they typically negotiate. If they will cite examples or techniques like, I usually have them in my office since that’s the house court advantage, etc. they're showing you a strategic awareness which will only benefit you and your bottom line.
