  2. Communication skills • A medical assistant must be able to communicate effectively with the patients as well as the doctors and other staff members. He should regularly interact with the patients and make them understand every single detail about their illness and treatment.

  3. Listening Skills Listening skills are equally important. A medical assistant is required to listen to the needs and concerns of his patients. In addition, he should have the ability to listen to the instructions of the nurses and doctors and make sure not to forget any essential detail.

  4. Non-Judgmental A successful medical assistant is required to be non-judgmental. This means he should not judge any patient according to his/her lifestyle. No matter, the patient is alcoholic or a regular smoker, a medical assistant should not hold any negative comments against the patient.

  5. Customer Service It is very important for a medical assistant to understand the needs and requirements of the patients and make them feel comfortable during the treatment. . In other words, a medical assistant should be able to offer great customer service and should be professional towards his service and work.
