  1. Brief Tutorial on Calibration and error treatmentD. MazonCEA Cadarache 7th Workshop on Fusion Data Processing Validation and Analysis Frascati 2012

  2. What are the real challenges for calibration and error treatment? • Most of the time calibration are performed once or twice a year in an incomplete way due to many constraints (needs of an extended source, 4Pi emission, …) • No models are available to check the validity of the calibration • Most of the time the calibration is not implemented in an automatic or systematic way • This could also have some consequences on the Real time analysis • Errors related to disturbances are in general not taken into account (vibration of cameras for example) • Innovative techniques needs to be urgently developed 7th Workshop on Fusion Data Processing Validation and Analysis Frascati 2012

  3. Calibration and error treatment session • 16:10 - “Brief tutorial” – D. Mazon • 16:15 - “A calibration Code for JET polarimeter based on a physical optic model of the diagnostic” – P. Gaudio • 16:40 - “3D Scene Calibration for Infrared Image Analysis” – V. Martin 7th Workshop on Fusion Data Processing Validation and Analysis Frascati 2012
