LOVE and PATIENCE
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)
5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength (Deut 6:5)
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)
19 And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt. (Deut 10:19)
39 …‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matt 22:39)
35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
6In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 7For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,
8nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow.
10For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” (2 Thess 3:6-10)
11We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. (2 Thess 3:11-12)
6 …to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.(2 Thess 3:6)
14 If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. (2 Thess 3:14)
15Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. (2 Thess 3:15)
11 We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. (2 Thess 3:11)
“Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”
13 And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.(2 Thess 3:13)
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:9)
11 My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. (Job 23:11)
What do we do until He comes?
