  1. A Growing Opportunity At Windsor High School Your child and the advanced Placement (aP) program

  2. Committed to the principle that ALL students deserve an opportunity to participate in rigorous and academically challenging courses and programs. All students who are willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous academic curriculum should be considered for admission to AP courses. Schools will make every effort to ensure that their AP classes reflect the diversity of their student population. The Board encourages the elimination of barriers that restrict access for AP courses to students from ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups that have been traditionally underrepresented in the AP Program. 8. Each May, AP exams are administered at high schools throughout the country in more than 30 different subjects from art history to physics. Your child will take the AP exam at Windsor during school hours. But that's not all. Because high scores demonstrate mastery of college-level material, admissions officers often attach a lot of weight to AP coursework and exams. AP work could just give you the added edge over students with similar GPAs and admission test scores. AP Courses are weighted as if they were an Honors Class at Windsor. About the ap exam
