The iEARN approach • Established collaborations with accredited K-12 schools worldwide. • Original, constantly-changing initiatives that are project based. • Projects conceived by K-12 educators. • Posted online by educators to enlist collaboration of other • educators through iEARN’s portal, the Collaboration Centre. • Over 150 projects listed at any one time. Most projects involve 2-50 schools. • Interdisciplinary content: projects focus on science, math, economics, geography, business, the arts, and many other subjects. • Students participate as a group, individually, or both.

Students in 11 schools In 5 countries explore together the issues of pre-planning for anticipated natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and droughts, and through a mock exercise create a preparedness plan for a potential real life disaster.
