  2. sleep I will get enough sleep from mon-sun by going to bed early like 7:00 so that I get my sleep. Even after upward bound I would still get enough sleep to go on with my day.

  3. muscle strength I already build muscle strength 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at my cousins gym from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. After upward bound I will still keep working out my body because a healthy body will keep you living until you are 120 years old because that's the way it should be in the first place. Now a days people die at around 70-80 years old because they are unhealthy.

  4. healthy foods I will eat right Monday- Sunday by eating 4-6 fruits and or vegetables during breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will try my hardest to accomplish this goal along with my others. Nutrients provide energy or help form body tissues and are needed for life growth.

  5. positive decisions I will make more positive decisions by doing my homework Mon-Sun from 4-6 without delay and turn it in on time.since being positive can lead to opportunities and you never know you might end up liking something you thought was boring or useless.

  6. Optimal Weight I will keep my optimal weight by eating healthy, exercising Mon, Wed and Saturdays. since I don't want to be over weight with lots of excess fat.

  7. Alcohol     I will not drink alcohol mon-sun by staying away from it. Everyday even after these 4 weeks I will keep on practicing it by of course not drinking and warn my parents about the effects even though they should know them by now but i should give them a push. And the most effective way to avoid alcohol is to stay away from people who drink it.

  8. compromise I will compromise by negotiating a solution with my brothers everyday mon-sun so that we are all happy and wont have to fight all the time. And one way to compromise is by dealing with stress by telling yourself that you can do it and anythings possible.

  9. Not being sexually active I will not be sexually active by practicing abstinence mon-sun and that way I wont get a girl pregnant and have to quit school and get a job at Mc Donalds. Also I wont be stressed out about the baby and money.

  10. tobacco I will not smoke tobacco Mon-sun by not smoking of course, and staying away from smokers so that I wont be second hand smoking. Also because I want to live a healthy life without having cancer and tar in my lungs. Finally I wont be addicted to tobacco.

  11. heart disease I will not get heart disease by eating right and running every day from Mon-sun also from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm of physical activity. this will be a lifetime goal so that I wont be sick with heart disease by the time I'm 48 yrs. old. Also if you have your diet you eat during your teens you can affect your risk of getting heart disease. so don't be like this guy.

  12. cancer I will not get cancer by exercising Mon-sun and eating right everyday. I will do my workouts outside or go for a walk in the park to keep my body nice and fit. Also I don't want to end up like most people that get cancer by the age of 50. Also more than 1 million people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the U.S.

  13. exercise I will exercise Mon-sun even if its just running or walking I will exercise so that I can be a fitter leaner me. After upward bound I will have achieved this goal by being a more active person. Also I would be able to do daily physical activities without getting out of breath, sore, or overly tired.

  14. coping I will cope with the fact that my mother will die very very many years from now and I will have to for the rest of my life. I will cope with it by going to some one else I love and get over it by going through the 5 steps of grieving.

  15. Reproductive system I will not reproduce with any other female for as long as I'm in high school and 1 yr of college. I will not reproduce because then I will have a unexpected child I did not want ''YET'' and then I will have to drop out of school get a job and my life is practically over. Also I don't want the process in which a sperm and an egg and their genetic material join to create a new human life which is called fertilization to happen ''YET''.

  16. Self Esteem I will keep my self esteem as high as i can everyday of my life. I will try to be more open to new things and not disrespect myself or others. Also I don't wanna be vulnerable to peer pressure because I have low self esteem.

  17. Diabetes I will not get diabetes by doing daily exercise like running and having a healthy diet Mon-Sun. I don't wanna have diabetes because I will not be able to eat all the foods I like and everyone likes food! Also because your health is supposed to be a state of well being.

  18. stress I will relieve stress by playing sports everyday Mon-sun. The reason why is because stress can lead to depression and I don't want distress from keeping me from my goals.

  19. Great Relationships I will have great relationships with my family and friends everyday of the week so that socially and mentally healthy. Also I'm not going to be the aggressive type because that can hurt me and the people around me.

  20. Media Influences I will not be a victim of media influences ever! The reason why is because they are made mostly of lies like they say oh Miley Cyrus did this with this guy and now everyone hate her why? Because the media wanted to make some money out of it and published the story. They don't think about the person being framed for it, how it affects them or what they might do so don't listen to the media because they are all liars. Plus it's not good for public health.

  21. Goals I will reach my goals at the end of upward bound by doing all of my goals on my list. nothing can stop me from comleting my goals but myself.So to help me reach my goals I will make an action plan to help me reach my goal.
