  5. Samhein – marked the end of the Celtic year and the beginning of the new one.

  6. Celts believed the souls of the dead walked the streets at night. They made Jack-O-lanterns to keep spirits away. They also left out gifts and treats This evolved into “Trick or Treating”

  7. Druid – member of Ancient Celtic Religion Celtic – any of the European people who spoke the Celtic language. Samhain – A Celtic feast on October 31st to honor the dead. “Summer’s end.” Patchwork –made up of different things All Saints’ Day – day to honor all the saints on November 1st . (Hallowmas) Hallow – Holy or Saintly. All Hallow’s Eve –The night before All saint’s day
