  5. SON’S FOOD PANTRY • Inglewood Office • It started on 03/2010 • It feeds about 400 families a month (2000 people) • It offers clothes and shoes to the families • It is open on the 3 first Tuesdays of the month from 4 to 6pm • Open to the church’s families too.

  6. SON’S FOOD FAIRS • Every last Saturday of the month at Hidden Pines Courtyard • 120- 150 families are fed (about 900 people) • The Gospel is preached • People are coming to Christ

  7. SON’S HISPANIC SUPPORT OFFICE • ESL Classes • Alphabetization Classes • Golden Card Info • Legal assistance Info • Etc.

  8. SON’S HISPANIC CELL • Meets on Mondays at 6:30pm at Hidden Pines, apt. # 61 • It started on 02/02 with 35 people (20 adults and 15 children) • On April 12: 50 people (30 adults, 3 teenagers, and 17 children) • Cell leaders: Jesus and Zeida Ortiz.

  19. SON IN THE MIDST OF CLEAR LAKE • SOUTH WIND CELL IN CLEAR LAKE IS ON THE CONSOLIDATION SEASON • CELL IS PRAYING FOR GOD’S STRATEGY TO REACH OUT TO PEOPLE IN CLEAR LAKE • POSSIBILITY TO MINISTER TO THE CHILDREN WHILE PARENTS HAVE CLASSES.

  25. BLESSINGS OF FAITH • THESE OPEN DOORS AND AMAZING BLESSINGS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED BY US BY FAITH AND THE GRACE OF GOD. • WE HAVE NOT YET SPENT BIG MONEY TO START OFF ALL OF THESE MINISTRIES.

BLESSINGS OF FAITH: Example EXPENSE WITH BUILDINGS • Richmond Ave. office- we paid for the rental • Now we have at least 4 free offices: • Inglewood Village Support Office • Hidden Pines- apt. 61 • Lee High School- rooms 125 & 222 • HBU- Chapel • WE HAVE MORE SPACE IN THE MIDST OF THE PEOPLE AND WE PAY LESS RENT! PTL!

  28. WHERE ARE YOU CALLED TO SERVE?

  29. Hispanic Ministry: • Mentor and consolidate the cell members • Increase food fairs reach- Tuesdays: 4 to 6pm • Start worship services: once a month • Form teams for the ministry: mentors, worship team, prayer team, etc.

Hispanic Ministry: Needs • TEACHERS for ESL Classes (1 ½ A WEEK) • TEACHERS for Spanish Alphabetization Classes • SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS: • EVERY WEEK DAY- 11AM-1PM • WE NEED DAILY TEAMS FOR THE LUNCH DISTRIBUTION • SPANISH SPEAKERS mentors, worshippers, food pantry ministers, drivers, etc. • DONORS and/or FUND RAISERS for the ministry expenses and the purchase of equipments

LEE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY • Develop the Food Pantry ministry to the 1800 students and their families • Put together a community team to approach big food stores for donations for the Food Pantry • Put together teams for regular distribution • Mentor students academically and spiritually • Start student-led Bible groups (cells) and perhaps teachers cells at Lee • Expand Prayer Wheel within the Houston community to pray for the school recovery

LEE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY: NEEDS • Volunteers for the food distribution team for the Food Pantry hours (2 hrs a month). • Volunteers to approach big food stores for donations for the Food Pantry • Mentors for the students academically and spiritually (1 hour a week) • Join the Prayer Wheel to pray for the school recovery

COLLEGE STUDENTS MINISTRY: HBU • Develop a core of students to start a cell for the new academic year • A Summer trip for fun and encouragement • Plan 1st cell for next year • Expand Prayer Wheel on campus to seek God’s Strategy for ministry on campus • Mentoring the new students who will be joining the cell

  38. MINISTRY IN CLEAR LAKE • Consolidate the cell in Clear Lake • Develop leadership for the cell • Pray for God’s Strategy for outreach in CL • Prayer Wheel will be expanded to Clear Lake to help the cell to pray for God’s Strategy

  39. MINISTRY IN CLEAR LAKE: NEEDS • Be available to be trained to lead cells in Clear Lake • Join the Prayer Wheel for Clear Lake • Be a volunteer for supporting the launching of God’s strategy for Clear Lake when the time comes

  40. WESTCHASE MINISTRY: NEEDS • Join the Prayer Wheel for Westchase District • Volunteer to work at the Food Drive event in June • Be available to be part of a Bible Study or a Cultivation Group when the time comes

  41. How you can help • FIRST: pray and decide which one of these fields you feel called to serve. • SECOND: volunteer to serve in any of the ways it is needed now on that field. • THIRD: sign up for it. • FOURTH: start working and advancing the KOG in Houston.

How you can help • You can volunteer to help with the weekly food fairs that happen every Tuesday from 4-6pm. • You can donate non-perishable food items for adults and for children, cleaning and toiletry items as well. • You can donate clothes and shoes to the support office. • You can donate 1 to 2 hrs of your time to teach English as a second language. • You can donate items to be riffled, such as TVs, microwaves, kitchen appliances, etc. • You can donate money to complete the benevolence fund we are developing for the different projects.

HISPANIC MINISTRY: I WILL • I WILL volunteer to help with the weekly food fairs that happen on Tuesdays from 4-6pm. • I WILL donate clothes, non-perishable food items and cleaning and toiletry items as well on a monthly basis. • I WILL donate items to be riffled, such as TVs, microwaves, kitchen appliances, etc. • I WILL teach an ESL Class (1 ½ A WEEK) • I WILL volunteer for the Summer Lunch Program for students one day a week: 2 hrs • I WILL volunteer to mentor a new believer. • I WILL volunteer for the worship services in the worship team. I can sing/ I can play instruments

LEE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY: I WILL • I WILL volunteer for the food distribution team at Lee at the Food Pantry hours (2 hrs a month). • I WILL volunteer to approach big food stores for donations for the LEE Food Pantry • I WILL volunteer to mentors Lee students academically and spiritually (1 hour a week) • I WILL join the Prayer Wheel to pray for the LEE High School recovery • I WILL volunteer to be part of a student-led cell at LEE
